43D-64

Thanks for your 43D-64 rollout, Neil.

We'll see what Nack can add.

Indeed. Check out Snowie's result.

Snowie .. [R S15] 31k
GnuBG .. [R S1.5] 46k, d[R S6] 10k
XG 3-ply [S R3] 15k
XG 4-ply [R S2] 46k

Key: R = Run (24/14), S = Split (24/18 13/9). Error sizes are in thousandths. "d" before the brackets means dmp. "k" after the brackets means number of trials (in thousands, rounded down). For example, "d[R S6] 10k" means that at dmp, R is best and S is -.006 after 10000+ trials.

In the absence of further data, I'd make value about [R S5], though I might extend the Snowie RO to 46k.

The problem with running vs clearly weaker opposition is often that you have a boring, lack-luster game that is easy for him to play after he makes a point inside and you roll something non constructive.

Concur. Against most people I play S.

Nack
