Coming in on the 24pt is very weak. You have the racing lead, albeit minor if that, but more importantly if you stay back you almost certainly prime yourself in. If you won't 'step up' now when is it going to be better for you to do so? When our opponent has already made the bar with more men in the zone? We have no other route to victory, it's escape the back checker and race or nothing since we have no board and our opponent can't be primed or attacked.
