Are you saying that if you play correctly then your subsequent decisions tend to be easier? I've heard people make this claim but I wonder if there is any hard evidence for it.

One thing that is true is that Stick or any other good player will not play to a 2.6 PR if forced to play a deep backgame. This is because the bot will misunderstand the positions that arise. I wonder how many "errors" (and "correct" moves for that matter) in Stick's 50 games are actually examples of bot evaluation mistakes.
