I make more errors in live play than against the bot, too, but I think that the main reason is poor psychological discipline. When I'm playing against the bot, I'm sitting comfortably at my computer and can take all the time I want. I know that the bot isn't trying to psych me out. The exact same position could arise against the bot and in live play and I would be more likely to screw it up in live play just because I have not worked hard enough at my mental game.
