I find it hard to believe that the bar isn't better for long-term containment. I would play 13/7 9/7 in a heartbeat.

We are going to be left with a 5-prime either way. If he comes out hitting, we become a long-shot, hoping for a late shot. If he comes out not hitting, we have lots of chances to attack either back checker right away and take the racing lead. And if black fails to come out, his racing lead becomes a liability very quickly.

If 13/7 11/9 really is better, I would really appreciate a long-winded explanation, because I don't see it.
