In Response To: Monte Carlo Last 8 (David Rockwell)

This is not meant as a criticism of the current tournament, which I know very little about and which I'm sure is being run well. But if we wanted a "World Champion" who deserved the name, then the remedy is in principle. Just have people play more matches/games against each other to determine who is stronger. The World Championship final should probably be nothing less than a best-of-eleven 25-point matches, and perhaps even more than that if it could be arranged.
