I don't agree that "we all agree that it's just another tournament with a claim to a name".

The world championship has history, pedigree, great past winners, exiting venue, large field, large entry/prizes.

I bet that 99% of all players would rather win the world championship in MC than ANY other tournament/title, because of its name and history. (here I expect Stick to take this bet)

I don't agree with your comments on the cup format and also don't like your seeding thoughts.

I like the idea of online qualifiers and live satellites throughout the year to boost attendance.

I guess a rotation of the World Championship between Vegas, Copenhagen, Monte Carlo and Tokyo could work - at least on a trial and error basis.

Most importantly we should change the date so that it doesn't clash with the WSOP.
