33 to play

The main candidates seem to be making the bar with 13/7(2), making the 5 point with 13/10 11/5 8/5, and attacking with 8/5(2) 4/1*(2). If our blot on the 24-point had already escaped to the midpoint then 13/7(2) would be attractive since containing Black's checker would be very important, and the bar point would be comparable to the 5 point for containment purposes, plus we wouldn't be leaving a blot. Here, though, it doesn't look like 13/7(2) can be right.
13/10 11/5 8/5 is the "automatic" play, making the 5 point and trying to prime. However, attacking with 8/5(2) 4/1*(2) has a lot to be said for it here. First off there's the old rule of thumb that against a single checker it is more effective to attack than to prime. Here there is also the additional reason that Black is poised to make an excellent point or two with all those builders. Hitting gains a tempo, interfering with Black's building plans, and it also opens up the possibility of picking up an extra blot or two in the process of attacking, which would be a huge win. The downside is of course sacrificing the 4 point for the 1 point and leaving two blots of our own in the outfield. This is not an easy decision but I lean towards attacking with 8/5(2) 4/1*(2).
