In Response To: xxP-54, progression of R, S, D (Nack Ballard)

Nack writes "The deeper the opponent's point, the weaker R becomes and the stronger D becomes."

Is it fair to reason it thus:

The deeper White's point, the worse the race, so Running becomes less attractive.

The deeper White's point, the worse her priming potential, so Down makes Blue's priming plays more powerful.

Finally, when White has made the deuce, splitting becomes more dangerous because White has more incentive to attack on the ace, so the priming play of Down wins out.
