I find myself disagreeing with all the smart guys in the room. Please someone tell me where my thinking is wrong...

My instinct is to hit (bar/21 24/20 13/5). This lets me fight for either the 4 or 5pt anchor and at the same time fight for my own 5pt. It is a little exposed to jokers, but it plays on both sides of the board. Just making the 5pt anchor looks like I am conceding to a holding game where I am the underdog.
