I have a BG peeve. It is slow play. There may be accomodations that can be made for players with one difficulty of another. But, matches must be played with sufficient speed that they don't delay the tournament. Compromise on this point will drive more players from the game than anything else will. It has been my observation that time defaults are more likely to be caused by spending too much time thinking about moves rather than by physical limitations.

I have a suggestion. Let's video record a match with a player who feels that he or she is at a disadvantage with clocks because of a physical disadvantage. The recording can be reviewed to determine whether physical limitations are causing time problems or if the player is simply playing too slowly. That would be useful evidence in determining whether or not special accomodations are sometimes needed.
