Great post, MCG and one which I agree with 100%.

I will again repeat what I have stated several times.."I will no longer play Championship level matches that aren't clocked.. PERIOD."

Re: Doubles..LOL clocking the Championship Doubles needs to me mandatory. Not clocks on request but clock every match.

Hand recording one's own match should most definately not be allowed unless playing on a clock. I thought the rules of BG stated (or at least used to state) that a pencil is supposed to be used for score keeping, ONLY. Anyhow, I don't object to my opp recording if clocked. It is his time, and he can do WTF he wants to.

And, again I ask WTF isn't Monte Carlo clocks on request? (ie if I have a clock I can insist upon using one)
