Light leads -3,-9. Dark ought to be more anxious than usual to cube in a gammonish position.

The play I like least is 13/7 6/1*, exposing two blots to 20/36 shots. At the score, I would certainly double after this play. And take.

13/8 13/7 exposes one blot to 23/36 shots. Despite three more shots I think this play is much better that 13/7 6/1*. If missed, Light has many good follow-ups. But I would double and of course take after this play, too.

The last play to consider is 13/2. Only 11/36 shots, but if missed what does Light hope to roll? 5-4 or 4-3 or perhaps 5-1 and not much else? If missed, won't many rolls expose another blot, anyway? So, looking two rolls ahead, perhaps Dark has as good a double after this play, too, despite the 25 numbers that miss? Perhaps some Darks would not double -- if not, does 13/2 become a much better play?

I'll play 13/8 13/7 into the jaws of the double shot, expecting a double and take. The distribution on 8-7-6 looks very nice if missed. The spare on the 8 plus no blot on the 2 should make many more rolls playable if hit -- enough to justice so many more immediate shots? I think so.
