OTB I would play the obvious pay-later move 6/5 6/2.

Before trying too hard to explain the result, I would first roll out the position. Evaluations and rollouts don't always agree for these sorts of positions; see this position for instance.

After that, I would try a bunch of variant positions. Vary the strength of White's board and the number of spare pips White has to play before being forced off his anchor.
