Are precision dice necessary??

I did a 1000 roll chi-square test in the late 70s with non-precision square dice. They came out as fair. I dont recall which numbers were higher but just because there could/even would be slightly more 6s then 1s does not mean the dice are not fair and within a very high confidence level of passing the randomness test. My point is that the obsession we have with precision dice is unnecessary for a fair game.
On the golf side.....this 14 handicapper has never been able to spin the ball anyway. I know how far my pinnacles are going to fly with a decent swing. Maybe once you are scoring consistently below 80 it might be worth paying 4x or more for a ball that spins.
