Even without QF I would have played 8/5 6/1 here rather quickly. You aren't going to volunteer a shot so that narrows it down to two plays. Making the 3pt puts two spares past the anchor when all you're trying to do is bear in safely. Keep the spares on the high points, there is hardly any difference from playing a spare to the 3pt or the ace point in this position but there's a huge difference between having two playable spares on your highest inner board points and only one.
