Insightful comment about luck versus skill

That sounds like skill to me, sorry. I think people are confusing the concept of "the better player should always win" with skill. On that day your opponent wasn't skillful enough to defeat your trap.

Like I said before, this sort of outcome can feel like luck from your perspective, because it was completely outside your control whether he would see the trap or not. But I still don't think luck is the right word.
