Insightful comment about luck versus skill

Your contention about luck in golf has taken a turn for the worse with the message you referred me to. When a guy misses his putts in a round, unless the greens are bumpy, that is considered lack of skill, and few golfers would contend otherwise. The same applies to a guy's swing being off. Strickly skill and no luck whatsoever involved.
Where luck is involved in golf is in errant bounces, wind coming up unexpectedly, and other unpredicable acts of nature. These do happen but a lot less than instances of luck in bg.
