Insightful comment about luck versus skill

As I said in some other posts, I think people call this "luck" in the colloquial sense, but if we're trying to have a real conversation about luck vs. skill I don't think it makes sense to put these events in the luck category.

Not being a golfer myself, I would agree completely with Perry's categorization of various golf scenarios. I guess I feel like there has to be some kind of actual element of randomness, in the quantum sense, before I'll call it luck. A sudden gust of wind is luck. Your opponent's skill fluctuations may feel like luck from your perspective, but I don't think they're really luck.
