I'm thinking about the format for the Santa Fe event, which I will helping out with this year. Wondering if we could get away with abolishing the LC, in view of the fact that this would help some people with travel, since we are kind of far from the airport.

We just have a two-day weekend. Swiss is not an option, obviously. Double-elimination often gets bogged down on these short weekends too. I'd prefer to offer a single-elimination and no LC, just so people might be better able to get away on their own schedules on Sunday. We would offer some fun side events of course.

Personally, I don't like the LC. I sort of hate having to play at that point, but since I've paid, I play. That's when I end up dropping the free take against Larry Taylor.
