In your first variant, I would still anchor, though it must be a closer decision since the value of priming increases with the number of opponent checkers back, and the urgency of anchoring diminishes due to the lack of attacking/priming material that the opponent has.

The second variant is a real puzzler. I'm not confident at all but I would probably hit with 8/4* 11/10. White's game improves tremendously if she can make the advanced anchor so it seems worth risking a direct shot to prevent that.
