Five Positions from Peever vs Michy Live in Bristol, England

Interesting set of problems, but all these jokers that this Paul Weaver guy rolls...
1. I hit to gain in the race and start escaping checkers. Don't want to play a more positional game with the 2-point made. 24/20(2) is also something to look at, with the same idea, to convert to a race.
2. 7/3* 7/6. You are going to leave a shot, so better get something for it in return.
3. D/P. I don't think this is close.
4. I would have played 8/5 6/5 OTB, But Keene's 24/21 6/5 looks better to me. A classical action play that could have come out of Magriel's book.
5. B/24 8/3*. Don't want to let opponent roll freely from here, but unsure. Tough play.
6. 8/2* 6/2
7. 17/12 6/5. Distribution can be further smoothed out later. Now is not the time to leave shots, and Blonde is at the point of deteriorating.
8. You need to activate your back checkers here. Cannot sit back on the deuce and wait for chocolate to build the board. You would also not have the timing to hold on to the deuce-point anchor, so you would need to make a break, and now the difference in board strength is maximally in your favor. Start with 23/20, and look for a 6 to go with that. Maybe 23/20 13/7 is the play that would give your opponents the most problems.
9. Clear double and and clear take.
10. 8/4(2) 6/2(2). I would have played 13/5(2) over the board, but on reflection like Keene's suggestion better.
11. D/T. The take is a lot clearer than the double, and maybe it is a no double.
