7 ply is meaningless because it has no relational meaning to anyone. Who uses 7 ply to analyze? Let me make the example more extreme, what if I posted a 42 ply XG analysis, you would look at it and think what?

We have proven with other bots that more plies doesn't necessarily translate into a stronger bot. We have the Depreli tests comparing XG on various plies up to 5 ply. We all often use XGR+ or a truncated rollout as our default analysis. These things we commonly see and therefore have a better understanding of them. When I see a 7 ply analysis all I do is look at it and ask myself if that's supposed to carry any meaning to me. It doesn't.
