8/3. My thinking here is that normally I'd want to slot the 2 to make it next, but that (1) here we would need to play 8/6 5/2 to do that, reducing the number of cover numbers without giving up a point, and (2) that the bot's timing is precarious - it will either jump a checker next and we might hit a shot that I'd want to hit without leaving a home-board blot, or it will need to make a concession up-front, which makes the slot-jump-hit-return hit scenarios much less harmful for us.

For that reason a somewhat anti-positional and stodgy 8/3 for me now, with slot and cover on the program next.

BTW: 6/1 is not outrageous, it slots the wrong point, but retains a good spare distribution, so that play should also be in the running. 13/8 at this point looks like the wrong idea, paying now while the bot's position is deteriorating, and the swing on 63 and 54 is big.
