Congratulations to John! Second ABT win of the year. Also won Santa Fe.
I believe John may subscribe to the theory that correct cube action in matches may differ a bit at times from cube action for money. This widely-held theory suggests that steaming is the correct stategy in matches, i.e., when behind in a match, double earlier and take later, especially on larger cubes. Also make scoreboard pissy pussy passes when ahead.
I have no idea if John's theory is mathematically sound or not, but in practice, it suits me just fine, because I love to steam in a chouette when losing and I also love to rathole in a chouette when winning, especially on larger cubes. Why not incorporate my chouette cube handling strategy into matches, as well?
