I'd like to take four off, with a second choice being 5/4(2) 1/0(2). 6/4(2) looks too weak to consider.

Taking four off leaves an immediate shot on 65 62 54 51 42 21 (twelve numbers), while shifting leaves a shot on 61 51 (four numbers). But we're going to win a smidge more gammons by ripping, and even with gammons not being worth as much, it may well be enough. I don't know how to weigh these with each other.
