Ripping 4 is tempting because we now have the gammon more in reach, but I doubt that play actually saves a roll often enough to justify the risk. We create another gap, and the 4-gap is bad already. I like the compromise play here that gets 2 off, keeps a five point board, and moves the gap higher. 1/off(2), 5/4(2) for this bear.
