XG Cubeless More Questions

Jacoby was a friend of mine and my first backgammon teacher. Between and before bridge games we would often play gin, and then one day he took out a backgammon board. I told him I was a good player (I was 20 years old at the time and had been playing for 5 years with friends) and played him for $5 a point, which was a lot of money for me at the time. After the first game, he refused to play me for money any more because he liked me and he told me I had no idea how to play the game. I suspect the same would be true if he were alive today and we played!
But I can assure you, Oswald did exist and he had many fine ideas about the game in addition to the Jacoby Rule, and he was one of the best players in the world in his day. (I believe in reincarnation and I believe Kit Woolsey is Oswald--they even have similar eyebrows).
On the subject of the EX display, I agree with Mary Hickey.
