I agree and don't want to win that way either and regardless of "rules" and I know that under US rules I can claim that my opp made an illegal play and accept his forfeiture of his turn. I'd not do this (accept vs a couple players who've nailed me on this when I hit the clock too soon a couple years ago).

Not every has vast experience playing with a clock and mechanical errors are more common and in the spirit of fair play we should NOT be taking advantage of such errors at least at this point in clock history. (My strong opinion remains that we shouldn't take advantage of these errors, period !)
