Two and a Half Answers for Peever

Peever asked:
(1) What does "MFIC" stand for?
Mathematically Flawless Improbability Calculator.
(2) Exactly what are you in charge of?
Mathematically Flawless Improbability Calculations.
(3) You wrote, "Reminder, the chances of going 10-0 are 1,023 to 1." I wonder, is the probability of winning ten matches in a row dependent in any way on the relative strenth of the players involved?
By an amazing coincidence, the results of my most recent research project provide a partial answer to your question: I have conclusive evidence, soon to be published in the Journal of Irreproducible Results, that the probability of winning nine matches in a row does indeed depend on the relative strength of the players involved. I am currently writing a grant proposal to investigate the case of ten matches in a row. Assuming my proposal is funded, I am confident that I will be able to answer your question definitively within the next five years.
