That's not a bad argument. But then if there should arise a dispute about whether the players have decided to play "legal moves" or what that means, you won't be expecting the TD to intervene or rule? If you are, I really think the allowance for players to make this "gentlemen's agreement" ought to be addressed in the official rules. Whether or not you are, perhaps "legal moves" proponents might see an amendment as a positive step towards eventual adoption of a "legal moves only" rule.
