It is sufficiently in the past that I don't wish to say who the two people were. They haven't bothered me over it since and I'm willing to let the matter die, except as an issue to raise in the interest of not having it repeated for myself or anyone else. I told them my point of view at the time, which was that when buying in an auction, they should make any equity adjustment they feel is necessary for players that will do what I did, compared to those that will not, and include that adjustment in how much they will pay for a team that includes us. I believe they accepted that argument as reasonable, whether they fully agreed or not. And FWIW I don't think the equity adjustment would be large enough to matter even once in a lifetime, spread over a typical field of four, when the auction increments are often as much as 25% of the minimum bid.
