I agree, it is independence of successive rolls that matter. If 1s had a 90% chance of becoming 6s you'd still get a roughly uniform distribution of rolls over a large number of trials. Of course, Brett did look at the independence question and has given some results. My point is that these are the only results that matter.

In the end, I believe people will accept the randomness of the tube and it will come down to personal preference.
