As good as XGR+ is and as good as it performed in the Depreli study for cube use, my experience indicates to trust a full RO lots more especially for cubes in certain types of positions.

Obviously a 4 ply RO is to be preferred over a 3 ply one and a 3 ply over a 2 ply, but usually a 1296 or 2592 game 2 ply RO is good enough and quite quick if I am using my laptop when away at a tourney and wanting to know whether I donked something up.
