You say that fast pipcounters will get an advantage.

But also getting an advantage will be those who can quickly see the relevant features of a position, who can quickly scan the brain for reference positions, who can quickly figure out how to adjust from a reference position to an actual position, who can quickly count how many shot a play leaves, who can quickly do a one play scan seeing how an opponent's rolls will play, can quickly think through how the volatility of a given position affects the cube actions,... So no clock at all because most players will have a weakness somewhere? Ridiculous. Unless you want to risk 5am matches.

Those are all skills which are part of the game. They all come through a combination of talent, study, and practice. Part of being a good player is shoring up one's weak areas.
