Clocks and Penalties

I was at that 1000 Islands but was lucky enough to be knocked out quickly.
The slowness of the anti-bye match really made a mess of the timing of the event.
This is what happens when directors don't pay attention to matches, especially anti-byes and this is a prime example of what is supposed to be a fun low key event in a beautiful setting, becoming much less for for those forced to play very late and then play the next day with much less than normal sleep.
Lack of clocks so often means that many players who aren't responsible for the delays end up suffering long waits, very late nights, and sometimes early morning play as well.
I state again, that in 2011 (plenty of time has allready been given to make Champ events clock mandatory) I won't be playing any ABT caliber matches unclocked and will be more likely to attend T's that are clock mandatory .. ie Chiva's and Gibson's to name a few.
