I LOVE Playing Until 2:15 AM And Then Being Required To Play Again at 10 AM Saturday

I LOVE it when directors do not mandate that all matches be played with clocks. Earlier this year, I LOVED it when I had the pleasure of participating in a tournament run by an "experienced" director who did not require that all matches be played with clocks.
I LOVED it that clocks were not used and the “experienced” director allowed one or two slow matches to delay the schedule for my half of the draw. I also LOVED it that the “experienced” director had so many other more important things to do than to keep an eye on slow matches. I LOVED it that the “experienced” director took no action until irreparable damage had been done.
I LOVED it that the tournament was so well run that when I lost in the winner’s bracket at 8:15 PM Saturday, I then got to sit around and wait three hours until 11:15 PM Saturday night for my match in the consolation.
I LOVED it when I had the pleasure of playing until 2:15 AM Sunday. I LOVED it when I was required to play my money round in the consolation semifinals at 10 AM on short rest while my opponent finished his day Saturday at 11:15 PM. I LOVED being tired all day Sunday as a result of the “experienced” director’s decision not to require clocks in all matches.
I LOVED it when the “experienced” director left the playing room at 1 AM, so he could get a good night's sleep, but left me there to play until 2:15 AM.
I LOVED it when I found out the same thing has happened many, many times in previous years and decades at the tournaments of this same "experienced" director. I LOVE it that this "experienced" director has not yet figured out what virually all European directors leaned years ago: Tournaments run with clocks go much more smoothly for both players and directors.
I LOVED it when I got to play my jackpot semifinal match at 9 AM Saturday one year in the past at the tournament of this same "experienced" director.
I LOVED it when I recently found out that this same “experienced” director had changed his policy from "Clocks on demand" in 2010 to "Clocks by mutual agreement only" in 2011, a huge step backward.
I totally agree with Ray Fogerlund, who said in his interview on Phil's Web site, "Then they want to solve that problem by forcing me to play after midnight under threat of forfeiture! It is not my fault they have a log jam, and it is unfair to ask me to play an important match at the end of a 14 hour day so the last chance will go smoothly for them the next day."
I love my two sisters, whose birthdays are March 2nd and March 7th. I will love staying home and attending my mother's joint birthday party for them in 2011.
