Ok, I’ll suck it up and play with clocks when required.

That's the spirit.

Here's a tip... people who aren't used to clocks obsess over them, worried about whether or not they're going to run out of time.

Don't. Just play. Look at your time ONLY between games. You'll find almost certainly, you're using a lot less time than you think. I really only start to pay attention to the time if I'm getting under about five minutes.
