I calculated a problem similar to Mochy's by hand 5+ years ago. My conclusion was in line with other's work at the time. At pure DMP, it is right to strip the six point down to two checkers. However, with almost any perceptible chance at a gammon, it is right to bearoff and leave three on the six. It looks like a longer rollout is in order if the DMP conclusion isn't clear.

The vacant four point in Stick's example makes a difference of course since it leaves extra shots.
