Paul was clearly bending over backwards trying to convey a tone of constructive criticism rather than just trying to be critical. Waiting six months to send the note also indicates this sentiment.

I talked with Bill Davis about his tournament last Tuesday at the Bar Point Club. I had a question relating to Linda's tournament which opened the subject. It was my impression that Bill had just made a decision about clocks and other things for the 2011 CSI within the last day or two. In that regard, Paul's letter was poorly timed since it came after the decision was made. I am sure that Bill will announce his plans at a time of his choosing.
