In Response To: Giant versus average open player reworded (Joe Russell)

'If it is accurate that a group of Giant's with an average ELO of 2200 would win 57.3 % (XG ELO calculator) in an 11-point match against a group of open players with an average ELO of 2123, would if not be correct to assume that luck, on average, would decide the match 92.7% and skill 7.3%?'

Since the player that wins 57.3%, wins 14.6% more than his opponent, who wins 42.7%, I think skill would be worth 14.6% and luck is 85.4%. The skillful wins occur mainly when the better player is able to win the matches where the luck is average and, once a very large number of matches, win one where he was actually unlucky.
