Giant versus average open player

To me 5% seems too low.

If the most skilled players are able to average say 60% win rates in 11 point matches in the Open division, and we assume that on average they get the better dice 50% of the time and the worse dice 50% of the time, shouldn't it be true that 10% of the time they get the worse dice and still manage to win the match? Or is the saying true that "the better you are the luckier you get".

Of course, Joe refers to the better player winning when he gets "near neutral dice". That translates to me as "slightly worse dice but wins anyway". I suppose the better the player (or the weaker the opponent), the more "near neutral" outcomes they can have and still win.
