He presents himself as mister perfect, a role model, the consummate sportsman -- and then he pulls that crap? He's a joke, just like most sports 'stars'. He's little better than his running buddy a-rod.

He's lucky he played for the Yankees for his career. He's been hyped, and paid, beyond belief in comparison of his skills to his contemporaries.

On another team he'd have been just another good player, marginal Hall of Fame material for his longevity if nothing else. As a Yankee, he's first ballot.

I'd not vote for him in the first year based on this charade alone.
