The True Test of Skill is Duplicate BG

Random dice create random problems, often not equal. If you really want to know what player is better, or how much of an edge a Giant has over an Open Player, duplicate backgammon is the answer. Both players are provided the exact same positions and decide on the checker play or cube action; then the correct play is made and we continue. After a long enough period of time the skill difference will be clear, and their can be no argument about one player having easier decisions than the other.
I would love to see this as a side event at a major tournament...picture a row of great players at the computer with their answers projected on to a big screen behind them (they face the audience) and you eliminate players as their PR drops below 2.5 until you are left with a champion! (All of the plays would be rolled out in advance, of course).
Now, here's my question: of all the players in the world, who would you bet on?
By the way, this is exactly the kind of competition I would like to see done on line, so everyone in the world can watch and play along, and the competitors can be anywhere in the world so we can truly get all the best to play (and of course, they would all be at a computer in a public place, in front of a crowd and monitors, so there would be no question that there is no foul play).
