How well would a bot do in a human tournament?

I can't help feeling that exploiting a weaker player is vulnerable to a bit of bluff and counter-bluff (unless you know your oppo personally and their habits are consistent, of course) - if you punt in a loose double early in a long match and he either thinks a long time before taking or drops like a wuss, is he genuinely weak or is he manipulating you to cube early in future? And if you make suboptimal moves, how often does tempting him into mistakes also allow the dice to punish you with an unnecessary joker?
(Incidentally, that's another good reason for clocks - giving a much more real cost to the black art of adjusting ones playing speed to give a false impression of strength or weakness)
I'm a believer that the best play is the best play, regardless. I know my play goes downhill if I want to wrap a match up quickly even against a fish. If the bots ever learn to intersperse their play with kibitzes about "lucky hot chicks"... :)
