13/9 8/3 is the right play because if dupes 5s and to a lesser extent 1s? WOW. I can see that White would bring down checker to make more points, but still hard to believe that leaving the shots is better than making the ace and, Pipcelot willing, splitting next turn.

After P (Point, 5/1 4/1), if you split next turn, you probably won't like the other half of the roll. I think you mostly hope to hit a fly shot or run and get missed, but the dice may not cooperate.

After O (Outer, 13/9 8/3), all 5s and 1s are duplicated (including 61 and 11) if you count 41 as a 5.
