I used to think the way you do, but I've since changed my mind.

What's obvious is that there is an "obvious" play, and there is a "QF" play. It is not obvious that the QF play is correct. I have posted positions where the obvious play turns out to top the rollout. The thing is, if you're a strong enough player, the QF play becomes an obvious candidate, in which case it is no longer a QF play.

Furthermore, even if you are unconvinced by what I just said and insist that the QF play is obviously the correct one, it is still not obvious to most people by how much the rollout will put the QF play ahead.

Finally, it is a simple empirical fact that many readers here enjoy thinking about problems without having the rollout revealed immediately. So you'll get a more favorable reception, and better responses, if you don't post the rollout immediately.
