Bots killed the game? WHAT?!

What the bots did for the most part, was kill off big money games and props. Many high-stakes players that liked to gamble and thought they were very unlucky found out they were just bad. They could no longer delude themselves.
Backgammon has gone through a transition from a high-rolling, jet-set, game played mostly at private and/or exotic locales like Pips, The Playboy Mansion, the Cavendish West, the Mayfair Club, the French and Italian Rivieras, and at most of the exclusive night clubs throughout the world to a game that is played mostly on the internet and mostly for fun.
While it was primarily a gambling game before, it is a much more intellectual pursuit now. The people that liked to play high-stakes backgammon have moved to other games or died, for the most part.
