I'd hit with any ace on the first roll... If you don't cube until you've closed out two checkers, you've hugely missed your market at this 3-away all score
It might be right to cube earlier - when we're about to close out two checkers - but I still dont' think its right to hit with an ace. If we hit the game could get a lot more complicated. I definitely don't want brown to anchor on the 2 or 3 with a third checker back to maintain his timing and anchor while we come around. True, we may be able to squeeze him off the presumtive anchor even if we do hit a 3rd checker but it gets a lot harder. Maybe I'm overestimating the chances of brown anchoring but it doesn't seem all that far-fetched to me. Rollouts of the various positions will be interesting.
