23/22(2) is a must. Then you have three choices. (1) Passive -- 24/23(2), or 24/23 and something in the homeboard, or 5/4 3/2. (2) Kamikaze -- 8/7 with 5/4 or 3/2. (3) In between. 23/22 8/7* or 24/23 8/7*.

I'd consider most carefully 24/23(2) and 24/23 8/7*, but I'd play 23/22 8/7*. I don't care for either the passive or kamikaze board breaking plays. Basically I think timing is almost good enough to make some other play, but I do want to be hit again, but not a lot, and I want that spare back checker ready to move now.

No idea how well your bot will play or evaluate (note the centered cube) any of the strategies.
